Blue Green Connector

The Blue Green Connector is more than a stream restoration project—it’s a bold step forward for Lancaster’s environmental and community development. Spearheaded by the Little Conestoga Creek Foundation and the Steinman Foundation, with support from the Department of Environmental Protection and Lancaster Clean Water Partners, this project reflects what’s possible when creativity, ecology, and collaboration align.

BRAND STRATEGY, DESIGN, AND APPLICATION

Our Role:
Gumption Design Co. was proud to partner with Pennant Creatives, who led the creative direction, community engagement, and project management. As part of this collaborative team, we contributed:

  • Logo design that captured the flow of water, people, and connection

  • Brand visual development informed by community values and environmental goals

  • Website design that made the project accessible, informative, and engaging for the public

We worked closely with Pennant and the Little Conestoga Creek Foundation team, gathering feedback through community sessions and collaborative reviews to ensure the branding felt fun, fresh, and rooted in local connection.

Impact:
The branding now anchors a larger story of environmental restoration and community engagement—supporting $4 million in funding, restoration of 25 acres of wetlands, and the creation of an educational trail system that will serve over 225,000 residents.
